I’m a woman who goes by many names, but for the purposes of this blog, call me Afrodyte. (I’m pretty sure I would rival Diddy in an “alias-off”.) A southern girl at heart, I relocated to the East Coast almost four years ago (wow), and reside near our nation’s capitol with my two delightful children. Being a tender soul with a tough exterior isn’t always easy, but I’ll be damned if I don’t make it look that way. Though not a medical professional or licensed therapist, I am a habitual line stepper who has seen enough of life to give my frank, witty and often insightful opinion on it. When The Dialectic approached me with the idea of offering a feminine perspective on male-female interpersonal relationships, I jumped at the opportunity. I’m quite single and occasionally I mingle, if I may borrow a phrase from the incomparable Cee-Lo Green, so if my experiences can help even one person to be encouraged, take heart, move forward, go back (because sometimes we DO need to go back), fly free, establish roots, or simply laugh out loud, my job is done.
Bounteous Besos!
